Payment & Policy Information

à  All tuition is due the first (1st) of the month and is late if paid after the tenth (10th).  All tuition paid after the 10th will be charged a late fee of $15.  Your child will not be permitted to attend classes or participate in any performance unless your account is current.  Please direct you’re billing questions and payment arrangements to our studio manager.  Parents/students are responsible for any legal or collection fees that are accrued due to delinquent accounts.

à  There will be a $15 fee charged for any returned check.  If you have 2 returned checks to your account, all future payments must be made with either cash or money order.

à  There are NO refunds, credits, transfers, or extensions on tuition.  Missed classes may be made up in a class of the same level.

à  No reduction in monthly tuition will be made for missed classes.  The monthly rate will remain the same throughout the year regardless of the number of weeks in any given month.  The tuition rate accounts for months with 5 weeks as well as months with 3 weeks (due to holidays).

à  Classes with under 4 students will be held for ½ the class time.  This is considered to be a semi-private class.

à  Single classes and privates must be paid for in advance.

à  Studio 31 and its staff reserve the right to remove a student from class for failure to observe the dress code and/or rules of conduct.

à  Studio 31 cannot be held responsible for any injuries or losses of personal property.  Anything left at the studio will be placed in the lost and found box and given to charity after thirty (30) days.

RULES OF CONDUCT

à  Teachers will not let any student into class who is more than 15 minutes late...10 minutes for any Ballet class.  This is for the safety of the student.

à  Appropriate dance attire and shoes MUST be worn for all classes.  Students may be asked to leave class if not properly dressed.  NO school clothes may be worn to any Tap, Jazz, Ballet or Lyrical class.

à  No food, drink, gum or candy in the dance rooms.  Water bottles ONLY!

à  Students must pay attention to the teacher and not talk during any class.

à Parents must NEVER walk into a class that is in progress.  Only a studio staff member may enter the room.  Please be respectful and wait until the class is over to speak with a student or instructor.

à  Class placement ----- All students are placed according to their physical facility, talent, and ability.  Class placement will be carefully reviewed and evaluated by the teacher and directors.  Previous dance experience may or may not be considered in a placement evaluation.  Poor attendance will have a direct result in placement and advancement.  Regular attendance as well as focus and determination are essential to maintain and/or advance in your designated level.  If an injury occurs, students should still attend class to observe and learn the lesson.

SAFETY

à  Please do not block the doorways or viewing areas. The doors must be able to open without obstruction.

à  There is NO RUNNING OR PLAYING or use of “Heely’s” allowed in the lobby, homework room, or eating area.  This behavior is very disruptive for the dancers and instructors.  It is also for the safety of others.

à  Parents please monitor your children who are not participating in class.

à  Parents please instruct your children to pick up after themselves in the lobby and eating area.

à  Students must get an instructor’s approval before using in any open dance room.  This time should be used to work on dances and/or technique and should not be used to play or execute any gymnastic tricks.
