Our "Company" refers to our competitive dance teams who travel throughout Southern California and Nevada to compete against thousands of dancers for trophies and cash prizes.  Dancers who are selected for “company” are required to take additional classes as well as attend rehearsals each week.  Dancers and their parents are asked to commit to a specific schedule for the season, which runs September thru July.  The training these dancers receive have been compared to “Olympic level” training.  For this reason, it is recommended for those individuals who work hard and consistently strive to be the very best they can be.

We had a highly successful season this year.  Our teams won Regional and National Championship titles.  As is the case every season, the biggest accomplishment these dancers achieved was not the trophies but rather a sense of pride and true sportsmanship.  Our dancers are trained to be courteous, gracious, and caring individuals.  We are very proud to have received the “Sportsmanship Award” at regional competitions.  This award was given to us for having respectful dancers as well as teachers who congratulate their dancers for doing a good job, regardless of placement.  As it’s true that competitions are about “winning”, at Studio 31 we stress the importance of learning the art of dance and being happy with the performance you gave, not the trophy you received for it.  It’s about the art of dance and the love we have to share for that art.
